What i've worked on (so far):
Designing surveys cross-products 🔀
The biggest challenge of all that faced while designing cross-products was keeping the design consistent, as each product had different components and different functionalities. I chose to leverage the existing UI library to design scaleable solutions that can be applied across products.
Designing for 👨👩👧👦 multiple personas
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) has a huge user base with many different personas. It's a challenge to ensure that the design being implemented caters to each and every one of these personas, so that they can maximize SAC's functionality and utilize SAC to meet their business needs.
Merging a ✨new✨ product into SAC
I had the opportunity to redesign a product that was recently acquired by SAP, to make it look and feel like an SAP product. Whilst working on the project, I focused on ensuring that the new product is in harmony with other functionalities within SAC.
Working on UX Improvements for an existing product 🕵️
Before a new version of an application got publicly released, I tested them to ensure that it is working properly. I learned to file bugs and made UX Improvements that aligned with the future design vision of the product, all whilst working with a tight deadline (2-week sprints) that required effective communication with developers and project managers.
WHAT I'VE LEARNed
Collaborating with stakeholders
Communication is key in collaboration! I had an opportunity to collaborate with many different people including UX Designers, UAs, Project Managers, Project Experts, and Developers. Through this experience, I learned to communicate more effectively by learning their preferred method of communication, work ethics, and what they excel at.
UX-ing my presentations
Furthermore, I learned to communicate my ideas effectively through presentations. I learned that understanding who the audience is, how much knowledge they have about the topic, and how the product affects them is crucial in order to choose the nuance and the level of detail accordingly.
Designing through different constraints
Different products have different personas, stakeholders, and complexities. I learned to always be mindful of this while designing, and ensure that I am making design decisions based on what is best for the specific project.
Designing with an existing design library 📚
Throughout the internship, I designed within SAP's Fiori Design Library - mostly Fiori 2.0 and Fiori Horizon - to achieve visual consistency across products. When I created new components, I focused on following the design guidelines and aligning it with the design future vision.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Actively seeking full-time Product Design/UX Design Opportunities! 👀
As my internship is coming to an end, I am incredibly grateful for the learning opportunities for the past 8 months where I get to grow as a designer and as a member of a team. I am looking forward to applying these newly acquired knowledge to my next full-time position, to contribute as an insightful, synergetic, and curious UX/product designer.
